Operational challenges
MANUTHIERS is a subcontractor that manufactures according to customer plans. The company operates in project mode: receipt of customer plans, minor modification of the definition, industrialization, design of injection molds and tools, production, quality control...
The teams initially used numerous solutions to manage their data (Solidworks, Magisoft, Topsolid, local servers...). The result was fragmented data, siloed operations, and significant inefficiencies:
→ The design of injection molds and tools was complex and the management of Solidworks CAD data on the local server was ineffective: sharing, indices, bills of materials, use cases...
→ It was difficult to monitor changes in plans and applicable documents.
→ There was a lack of collaboration between the teams (Design Office, Methods, Methods, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Purchasing) due to the difficulties of sharing applicable documents on projects.
→ Technical data was re-entered numerous times in different systems, leading to risks of error.
→ The technical processes (validation circuits, technical modifications) were manual and paper-based.
Setting up Aletiq
The implementation of Aletiq at MANUTHIERS was done in an agile way, to very quickly create value and support the gradual adoption of users.
The prioritization of projects to be migrated into the solution made it possible to switch to ongoing projects after only a few weeks. The historical businesses were then gradually migrated to make it possible to capitalize on the company's know-how.
The implementation project finally lasted 2 months to set up a single source of truth for data at MANUTHIERS, thanks to the personalized support of the Aletiq teams:

The adoption of teams
Thanks to the implementation of Aletiq, MANUTHIERS was able to set up a single source of truth for all technical data. Finally, the teams share the same visibility on business progress and applicable data.
As soon as the consultation is launched, the sales teams create the projects and share the customer definition data with the other operational teams: design office, methods, quality, purchasing...
The design office can thus simply rework the customer definition to allow the methods to launch the industrialization project. The designers responsible for the design of injection molds and tools use the Aletiq x Solidoworks plugin to simplify the management and sharing of CAD data in the company (evolutions, indices, check-in/check-out, use cases...).
The interface with the Magisoft ERP ensures the uniqueness of the data and digital continuity. Applicable industrial data is simply disseminated in the workshop thanks to the synchronization of items, ranges and production orders. Operators thus access manufacturing plans in 3 clicks, and without the risk of error!
